Description :

A DIY that has bottles painted beautifully in a combination of dotillism & abstract patterns. We have made a Mouldit holder for the bottles that’s just so cool!

STEP 1 : Source the base

Take two plain glass bottles.

STEP 2 : Paint the bottles

Paint the bottles using Fevicryl Acrylic Colours - Dark Green 06, & Coral Red 66. Let them dry.

STEP 3 : Patterns & dottillism

Paint the bottles one in an abstract pattern & the other with dots (dottillism) using Fevicryl Acrylic Colours - Black 02, White 27, & Greenery 67.

STEP 4 : Prepare the dough

Take Fevicryl Mouldit – resin base & hardener, mix well to form an even soft dough.

STEP 5 : Clay slab technique

Roll the dough to make a medium thick slab using a rolling pin.

STEP 6 : Shaping the clay

Take the clay slab and shape it into a flat long rectangle with a circle cut in the centre. Take a clay coil and encircle it on the mouth of the circle giving it prominence. Stick using Fevicryl Fabric Glue & clay carving tools for ease.

STEP 7 : Giving shape

While still semi dry, bend the shape more towards the base as though forming a “J”. Let it dry now.

STEP 8 : Painting the holder

Paint the holder using a base coat of White 27 and the patterns & dots using Fevicryl Acrylic Colours - Black 02, & Coral Red 66.

STEP 9 : Placing the bottle

Place one bottle through the round opening at a slant, just like you see in the image.

STEP 10 : Final look

Once ready and done your bottles with a chic holder would look like this.
