X'Mas Stain Glass Tea Light
You Will Need:
Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Ultramarine Blue 23, White 27, Fevicryl 3D Outliner Black 708, Fevicryl Water Based Glass Colours Kit, Fevicryl Mouldit, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, Rolling Pin, Clay Carving Tools, Plain Glass (5” X 7”) , A4 White Paper, Pencil, Paper Cutter, Colour Palette, Water Container
Description :
Christmas is the time to celebrate and rejoice! Here is a perfect DIY for you to usher in those warm Christmas vibes.
STEP 1 : Mix Mouldit
- We are going to make the X’mas stain glass tea light with glass, Glass Colours and Mouldit.
- Take Mouldit resin base and hardener; mix it thoroughly to make even dough.
STEP 2 : Make a base
- Take the dough, roll it to make medium thick slab with a rolling pin.
- Mark and cut the slab after it gets semi dry, measuring approximately 6” x 4” in size.
- Make and engrave the space to keep the tea light on the slab as well as make the slot to insert the glass on the slab.
- Refer to the image
- Let it dry.
STEP 3 : Draw the design
- We are going to paint the glass in stain glass effect with Mother Mary and baby Christ.
- Take an A4 white paper, draw Mother Mary and baby Christ on it.
STEP 4 : Place the glass on the design
- Place the glass measuring 5” x 7” in size on the drawing.
- Refer to the image.
STEP 5 : Paint the outlines
- Outline the drawing with 3D Outliner Black 708.
- Let it dry.
- Check the glass by inserting it in the slot.
- The glass design with the slab for the tea light will look like this.
STEP 6 : Paint the background
- Paint the background design with Water Based Glass Colours Sea Blue, Ultramarine Blue and Crystal Green.
- Let it dry.
STEP 7 : Assembly and Finishing
- Paint the base of the tea light with the shade of blue made by mixing Acrylic Colours Ultramarine Blue 23 and White 27.
- Leave it to dry.
- Paint the Mother Mary and The Christ with Water Based Glass Colours Golden Yellow, Orange and Tomato Red.
- Let it dry.
- Attach the painted glass to the mouldit base with little amount of the clay and Fabric Glue.
- Let it dry.
- Your tea light is ready.
