Description :

A décor art inspired by Pichwai & Madhubani arts is what this DIY is. Using basic materials, we have composed this art piece with love for the arts. The enhancements have been done delicately using Fevicryl Mouldit and the shades chosen are traditional to retain its essence.

STEP 1 : Prepare the dough

Take Fevicryl Mouldit – resin base & hardener, mix well to form an even soft dough.

STEP 2 : Clay slab technique

Roll the dough to make a medium thick slab using a rolling pin.

STEP 3 : Shaping the lotus flowers

Take the dough and form lotus flowers with leaves in the Pichwai art style. Use clay carving tools to create texture and pattern.

STEP 4 : Giving a base coat

For a good finish before painting, paint the lotus pieces with Fevicryl Acrylic Colour – White 27. Let them dry.

STEP 5 : Shading effect

Paint the lotuses & leaves using Fevicryl Acrylic Colours – Leaf Green 62 & Neon Pink 018 in a shading manner like you see in the image.

STEP 6 : Source the base material

Take an 8” aluminum plate with a little border.

STEP 7 : Giving a base coat / creating a border

Give a base coat to the plate by painting it with Fevicryl Acrylic Colour – White 27. Take some clay and make elongated thin rope-like strips. Create an ornate border on the plate, sticking it with Fevicryl Fabric Glue as you go along. Let it dry.

STEP 8 : Drawing & tracing Lord Krishna

Draw and trace Lord Krishna one that’s inspired from the Madhubani art style in the centre of the plate, like you see in the image.

STEP 9 : Painting Lord Krishna

Start painting Lord Krishna using Fevicryl Acrylic Colours - Black 02, Crimson 04, Golden Yellow 09, Lemon Yellow 11, Maroon 14, Orange 17, Sap Green 21, Ultramarine Blue 23 & White 27. Let it dry.

STEP 10 : Final touches & look

Place and stick the lotus flowers on the rim of the plate in a creative manner using Fabric Glue. Fix a metal hook from the rear side of the plate, and it’s now ready to adorn your walls.
