Description :

A beautifully designed asana for the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chathurti. It is made with delicate clay formations and a paint of metallic shades to make it look rich and elegant.

STEP 1 : Source the base

Take a corrugated sheet of paper (10”x 16”) and cut a shape that has festive arches, like you see in the image, using a sharp paper cutter. Draw the demarcations for the patterns to be done later.

STEP 2 : Prepare the dough

Take Fevicryl Mouldit – resin base & hardener, mix well to form an even soft dough.

STEP 3 : Creating the patterns

Take a sheet of paper and make an ornate pattern, place an OHP sheet over it and follow the pattern with delicate strings of clay. Cut and stick this delicate pattern on the backrest of the asana using Fevicryl Fabric Glue.

STEP 4 : Source the base material

Take a plywood of 11” x 15” which would form the base as the asana.

STEP 5 : Final look

Paint with Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Pearl Metallic - Gold 352 & Copper 353 giving a metallic finish to it.
