Dry Leaves With Madhubani Fishes
You Will Need:
Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04, Lemon Yellow 11, White 27, Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Pearl Metallic Gold 352, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, 11” X 14” Canvas Boards, White Pencil, Dry Leaves, Colour Palette, Water Container
Description :
Here is a super cool technique to give your wall décor an eclectic look.
STEP 1 : Source the base material
- We are going to make two canvases using dry leaves.
- We have taken two big leaves from Badam tree (Indian Almond).
STEP 2 : Draw the design
- Apply a coat of Fevicol MR on the leaves and let it dry thoroughly.
- Paint one of the leaves with shade of the deep red using Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, and Crimson 04.
- Leave it to dry.
- Draw the swarm of the fish inspired from the traditional Madhubani Art paintings in circular style on the leaf with white pencil.
STEP 3 : Paint the leaves
- Paint the fishes with the base coat of Acrylic Colour White 27.
- Let it dry.
STEP 4 : Paint the details
- Paint the details with Acrylic Colour Black 02.
- Let it dry completely.
STEP 5 : Paint the other leaf
- Similarly take another leaf and paint it with Acrylic Colour Chrome Yellow 03.
- Leave it to dry.
- Draw and paint a similar swarm of fishes on it using Acrylic Colour Black 02 and White 27.
- Let it dry.
STEP 6 : Assembly
- Take the canvas board measuring 11” X 14” in size.
- Paint the board with vise- versa colours of the leaves using Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Chrome Yellow 03 and Crimson 04.
- Create the impression of other leaves on the canvas using Acrylic Colours Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04, Lemon Yellow 11 and White 27. Let it dry.
- Stick the painted leaves on the canvas with Fabric Glue.
- Leave it to dry.
