Description :

Prabhavalli is an ornate arch or aureole surrounding a deity's idol. It symbolizes divinity and radiance, visually representing the spiritual aura. The word prabhavali literally means "circle of flames" or "garland of light."

STEP 1 : Procure the Base
  • We are going to make the canvas with Prabhavalli.

  • Start by creating texture on a 12” x 16” canvas board using Fabric Glue and a comb. Let it dry.

  • Paint the textured canvas with Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Dark Green 06 and Light Green 12. Let it dry. Refer to the image for guidance.

STEP 2 : Prepare the Corrugated Base
  • Create the Prabhavalli base using a corrugated sheet.

  • Draw the Prabhavalli design on A4 white paper and trace it onto the corrugated sheet using red carbon paper.

  • Cut the outline of the Prabhavalli with a paper cutter.

STEP 3 : Prepare the Clay and Build the Design
  • Mix Fevicryl Mouldit resin base and hardener to create an even dough.

  • Roll it into a slab and stick it onto the corrugated base with Fabric Glue. Allow it to dry.

  • Add intricate design details to the Prabhavalli using clay modelling tools and Fabric Glue. Let it dry completely.

STEP 4 : Procure the Base
  • Take a 5” x 5” MDF coaster and paint it with Fevicryl Acrylic Colour White 27.

  • Let it dry before applying a base coat of Fevicryl Glass Colours Orange. Allow it to dry.

STEP 5 : Paint the Base
  • Draw and paint the Laxmi Yantra on the painted coaster using Fevicryl 3D Outliner White 707. Let it dry thoroughly. Refer to the image for accuracy.

STEP 6 : Final Touches and Final Look
  • Paint the Prabhavalli with an antique gold effect using Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Black 02 and Pearl Metallic Gold 352. Let it dry.

  • Attach the Prabhavalli and the Laxmi Yantra aesthetically onto the textured canvas using Fabric Glue. Let it dry.

  • Your Divine Prabhavalli Canvas is ready!
