Description :

A wedding countdown board is an innovative way to have fun at your best friend's wedding. Little reminders of events to come, it's a way of welcoming the spirit of the wedding festivities in the air.

Make your own wedding countdown board for your best friend. It would surely and pleasantly surprise her and get her into the groove of things. Begin by taking the Shilpkar and mixing it well to form an even white dough. This will help you to make the faces of a boy with a turban and a girl.

Flatten the dough and make the faces of the girl and boy with their respective features.

Having broadly made the faces, now get down to making the features and accessories for both the faces. For the girl it would be a feminine look with earrings, braid of flowers and a maang teekka. For the boy it would be a turban with a paisley in it's centre that have been made with Shilpkar and we have used carving tools for it's detailings.

Further decorate the maang teeka for the girl and the paisley on the boy's turban with decorative ornamental stones that have been stuck aesthetically with Fabric Glue.

Make the forehead ornament by giving it a more traditional look by stringing in pearl beads in a string and sticking it on both the foreheads with Fabric Glue.

Enhance the countdown board, by adding few wedding centric motifs like a shubh kalash, a shehnai that is sysnonymous to wedding rituals and a nagada. Make these motifs using Shilpkar, shape and texture them with carving tools. Using bright and brilliant acrylic colours paint each of the motifs with Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04, Dark Brown 05, Dark Green 06, Light Green 12 and Pearl Metallic Gold 352. Leave these to dry completely.

The wedding countdown board is left to be made, for that simply take an MDF wooden placement that measures 12”x 8' in size. Taking Crimson 04, Orange 17 and Pearl Metallic Gold 352 give a shading effect and paint the board. Once painted leave it to dry completely. The wedding motifs and the bride – bridegroom faces that have been made, now stick the bride and bridegroom faces at an angle on the top of the board using Fabric Glue.

To make the wedding countdown board more interactive, make cards from a beige card paper that has phrases and words like “Just Married” “10 days to go”, “U + ME = US”, “Mehendi and Sangeet” written on it. Stick these cards randomly on the board with Fevicol MR.

The wedding motifs have been strung below the board in a dangling manner and suspended with a decorative string. This completes the wedding countdown board that can be given to your waiting to given to your bestfriend on the advent of her wedding. Wish her the very best in life with just beautiful memories to cherish forever and this countdown board that would bring fond memories alive.
