Santa Platter For Chocolates

You Will Need:

Make this Santa chocolate platter Diy as a gifting item or you can use it to keep chocolates in it!

STEP 1 : Prepare the dough

We are going to make Santa hold a potli of chocolates in his hand and you can use it as the platter too. Take Fevicryl Mouldit Resin base & hardener, mix well to form even soft dough. 

STEP 2 : Clay slab technique

Take the dough, roll it to make the medium thick slab with rolling pin.

STEP 3 : Mark and cut the shape

Draw and cut the shape of the Santa from the slab.

STEP 4 : Make the platter

Mark 1cm on the cut-out shape, lift the edges upwards to give the shape of a platter. Let it get semi dry.

STEP 5 : Create the details

Take some clay to build the right hand of Santa with a two-dimensional effect. Curl the beard and hair using clay carving tools and use Fevicryl Fabric Glue for sticking. create the space on the edge of the platter as well on the hand further for the cord of the potli. Let it dry. Refer to the image for the details.

STEP 6 : Paint the santa platter

Start painting Santa using Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04, White 27 and Flesh Tint 30. Let it dry.

STEP 7 : Final touches & look

Your Santa will look like this.

STEP 8 : Finishing with final look

Paint the facial details for the finishing. Take the potli of the chocolates, pass the cord of the potli through the hand of the Santa to depict as if he is holding the potli of the chocolates.
